Spanish Club news
Salsa con SalsaWhat's better than eating salsa for a salsa bake off? Dancing the Salsa! On October 18th, our Spanish club hosted a Salsa competition and Dance class. Josh and Traci, Paulina and Greyson instructed the club of over 40 participants in how to dance the Salsa. Meanwhile our judges of Jordan Elder, Roger Owen, Suzanne Easter, and Peggy Franklin determined the winner of the salsa bake off. For the category of the hottest (and possibly best), Justin Hannon took first place. Best overall (in taste, appearance and most popular) was Sara Burk. All of the salsas were very unique and ¡Muy delicioso! Thank you to everyone who participated in the dancing and the brining chips & salsa. Look at the pictures below to see more from the day!
Dia de Independencia Mexicana
RRCA Spanish club began its year with a celebration of the Mexican Independence day. Our September meeting introduced the 2011-2012 Spanish club officers: Paulina, Traci & Josh. In addition to chips, salsa, guacamole and Chuy's amazing dip (did you see the red, white and green theme?) we had made a craft, played some games, decorated cookies and learned about the history of the Mexican independence.
